 THE REASONS FOR THE FAILURE OF 1857 REVOLT WERE-

1_ The Indians did not have proper weapons to fight with, as the British were more advanced.


2_ They were not united. There was someone or the other who betrayed them.


3_ There was no proper leader to guide them.


4_ The revolt was an unorganized effort.


5_ The revolt did not spread to all parts of the country. Nor was it supported by all groups and sections of the Indian society.
